The Cucubird project confronts themes of extreme nationalism, alienation, the erosion of cultural and linguistic integrity, and the existential quest for finding one's place. Through Alexandra's eyes, a narrative intertwines the beautiful and harsh experiences of international individuals. In the first short animated movie from the series CUCUBIRD, the classical story of leaving home is told, exploring how desire meets reality in a journey full of emotions and events.

By placing the stills side by side, the central theme of the animation becomes evident—the clash between desire and reality as it unfolds. The process of alienation is depicted through a striking transition, moving from warm, loving pink tones to sharp, dark browns.
NEW SHLUOKOVICA Typography
This is my statement against translit, which represents the cultural and linguistic changes occurring in many places. I created the NEW SHLUOKOVICA with the goal of engaging my audience and allowing them to experience the alienation process firsthand. Knowing that six languages die each year worldwide, I wanted to design a typography that highlights and celebrates the adaptation process within the international community.

CUCUBIRD GAME
The graduation show happened on 15th -20th JUNE 2024 in Groningen (The Netherlands). The animation was presented at the historical building of Museum aan de A.
The offical short animated is ~8min. And it wouldn't be finished by the help of Borislav Stoimenov (music) and Khanh Pham (colour grading).
